My Seagate 1TB is newer than your WD. I partition to 3 logical drives. The boot up time getting longer. I bought a SK Hynix 1TB SSD for $155 from Amazon. During the data transfer, the old C drive died. High chance that your HDD isn't working right. Turned out to be a HDD issue! I tried plugged into my laptop hdd and it is working fine now!
Turns out both the spare hdd and my current hdd is dead.
