PC can't post after enabling DOCP, smells something burning.

Hey guys, a bit of an emergency here.
I recently just bought a new rig
Ryzen 3700x
Asus x570 tuf gaming (wifi)
2x8gb Corsair vengeance lpx 3200mhz
Sapphire 5700xt pulse

When I was playing apex legends with my friends earlier today, I was talking about the average frame rate I was getting, my friend who was using a rtx 2060 said my fps was very similar to his which I found weird since the 5700xt was supposed to be a better card.

I then downloaded CPU-Z to check my specs but everything seems right except for the ram. It's running at only 2133mhz try and not using the XMP settings. So I went to google and learnt that enabling DOCP will force the Rams to use the XMP settings so I went and did that. Afterwards my PC doesn't post at all. Fans, AIO, Mobo all light up, and the dram indicator light on the Mobo is on as well. I've tried shorting out the CLRTC pins on the Mobo to reset BIOS, didn't work. Took out cmos battery, followed by shorting CLRTC pins again, still didn't work. After awhile I kind of smelt something burning so I haven't dared to try anything else. Anyone can give some advice on what to do?

Ok I think the burning smell is probably due to something burning outside, not my PC. Just tried to boot it again, still same issue with the ram warning light on. Any other ways to reset BIOS?

Remove mb battery

I use same MB as you and it has an annoying issue with 4k monitor. Like 50% chance the BIOS won’t display and the MB do one long beep followed by three short beeps. But as long you set up default boot drive it will still boot up into windows and all is fine. Maybe try unplugging your display cable and plugging it in again?

Ive tried unplugging everything and plugging them back liao, no use leh

Anyway I have a spare b250 rig with some old Kingston 2400mhz ddr4 rams. Would I do any damage if I try to put my old ram in the new rig? Just want to see if can boot.

Will try it tonight. Was told by one of my friend to keep the rig unplugged with battery removed for the whole day before trying to boot again, hopefully that will reset bios

visual check your MB for any blown caps first.....

i would take out every component and smell

Take out battery have to power off the main. If never off the power, the setting stays.

Relax dude u just brought it less than 1 month just bring your whole PC the shop and check or warranty. They can replace or help you with it immediately.

Bought it on Thurs actually lol.
But today cny mah, I'll call the guy tmr or Monday if still can't fix.

Btw I was reading a thread on the Asus TUF x570. Apparently the motherboard needs a BIOS update for the rams to work properly.

The ram was running at 2133mhz 1.2v, when I turned on DOCP I looked around for the option to increase dram voltage but couldn't find it so I assumed it would adjust accordingly through the docp xmp profile. But I think it's trying to boot 3200mhz with 1.2v now that's why can't post.

The problem I have now is I can't reset the BIOS. As long as I can reset bios and post, I can update the bios firmware and fix all these.
