currently my pc is having those cheap china steel case which heats up really fast as it has only one fan at the back and another slot directly on top of it.
i was thinking of getting a new case(<$100) to transfer my parts so it will be cooler.
my qns is 1) is there any recommended case which i can use which cost less than $100 and can last me quite long. it must be able to fit a normal atx mb and my GTX 50 TI from palit
2) if i buy just the case only from the shops will they help me transfer my parts or will i have to do it myself?

My take is that a good casing does help, but more to ensure proper ventilation and better looks.

A good casing would not suddenly reduce your operating temperature by a lot. maybe 1-2 degree difference.

U should be looking at those casing that have one or two fan at the front to suck in cold air and exhaust the hot from the back.

Go to cooler master to view their casing to have better knowledge.

A good casing is quite essential in a "daily" rig. Lower heat means better computing parts longevity.

If you're looking for a good casing i'll recommond good brands like,

Sharkoon
Cooler Master
Xigmatek

Sharkoon has all the fan slots pre-installed. Xigmatek Asgard series have a lot of fan slots which are NOT pre-installed with fans, so keep that in mind with regards to overall costs

Just the fact that Sharkoon T28 comes with 3 pre-installed fans doesn't mean it's better, course in case u forgotten there's only 3 fan slots for it to install in the first place. Asgard Pro comes with 2 pre-installed fans which is only 1 less than it, and there are a total of 8 fan slots(non-window) for the TS to add more fans in case he wants to. Which btw is what he wants in his own words "which i can use which cost less than $100 and can last me quite long."

And the fact that Asgard Pro sells @ $68(Tradepac) and T28 @ $86(Tradepac) means adding the cost of 1 more 120mm fan @ around $14~$20 shows the costs isn't that much of a difference isn't it ?

i think ard 3-4 fans should be enough for me.
currently i have narrowed down to the sharkoon t28, asgard midgard II, antec GX700 and TT MS-III.
which of them will be better if i do not plan to use water-cooling or aftermarket cpu cooler?.
currently my power supply is 600W(andyson F600M) which have to power my biostar mb with i5-2400 and palit gtx 560Ti(in future might change to msi 660/650ti) will it be able to power the 3/4 fans for the casing?
the fan placing shld pref be front)intake) top and back(exhaust).

A 600W psu is more than enough as it doesn't take much to power a few cooling fans, besides the TDP of 660/650 Ti boost is around 134W~140W which compared to your current 560 Ti @ 170W is even lower.

Oh in regards to your first qn either the T28 or midgard II will do, as u've noticed lots of bros here simply loved the sharkoon. Ditto about the antec and Thermaltake, they looked kinda look ugly to me if u don't mind me saying. As for watercooling both T28 and midgard II had a pair of openings to allow for water cooling tubing. Finally both cases are large enough that most aftermarket coolers should be able to fit in. There's no which case are better to use if u are not using watercooling/aftermarket coolers, it's better to buy a case which lets u upgrades the component inside it.

so in that aspect the midgard II will let me have the option of upgrading in the future if i need it and hence it will be more suitable for my use in this case.
a side question where can i get the migard II without the side window in sls and will there be any price difference?
thanks in advance

I didn't say that it's better, just that it comes with all the fans pre-installed. Even with the Asgard Pro window version, it has 3 empty fan slots. Leave them open for some time before fitting them with decent fans would've already garnered signficant dust build-up due to more open case design.

Yes, the fans on the Sharkoon (and I imagine the Xigmatek's as well) are below par. And if I were personally to go with any of the Asgard series window-version, I would straightaway plonk GTs/Noctua S on the remaining fan slots

bro add $30 if you can then you can choose for a better casing....remember casing are one of the components that you seldom change unlike GPU and stuff. so why not invest a bit more. for example $130 budget you can go for Fractal Design Arc Midi V2..a very well rounded case.

I personally like the carbide 200r, but it does not come with any fans. Go buy some gentle typhoons :s12::s12:

Maybe u can ask the shops at SLS when the Fractal Design's revamped Core 3000 Usb 3.0 is coming to Singapore. The older version offers only usb 2.0 connection and is priced at $89~$99 depending on which shop u patronized. Best is it has 7 fan slots and comes with 3 fans installed including 2 140mm fans(front and top).
