I don't usually shop at sim lim but since Funan closed down, think Sim lim is the best place now. Things at sim lim are not really cheap also.
Anyway My laptop keyboard has some intermittent problem and i asked them if they can help troubleshoot and what is the fee.
The fat guy (probably the boss) said no need evaluation fee. I thought so good.
So few days later, I brought my laptop down. Unforturnately, the keyboard problem did not appear then.
The guy did not even bother to take a look and just told me i have to replace the whole keyboard. I don't mind replacing the whole keyboard if he can guarantee that the new keyboard can solve the problem. If he bothered to take a look, I may still buy the keyboard from him. simply saying need to replace keyboard and no value added service i might as well but from Amazon, which is cheaper some more.
Many computer hardware can be bought on the internet nowadays, if they don't provide value added service, how are they going to justify charging more ?
