My PC has been crashing a lot lately. Used to be a minor issue a few months back. However, now it crashes a lot (like once every few minutes), requiring me to hard reboot it. Sometimes my PC crashes when I am watching YouTube videos or playing games, rendering my mouse and keyboard unresponsive, and my audio will stop. In rare occurrences, my PC may even have a BSOD
Also, I noticed it usually crashes within the first half an hour after starting up my PC. If it does not crash during that period, it usually operates fine for hours after that.
I am uncertain where the fault lies, and have tried defragging, updating software of all my drivers, trying some hotfixes and performing registry cleaners. I may have missed out some software solutions but now, I am quite certain the problem lies with hardware. However, I am not really good with PCs, so I do not really know where the problem is. How should I proceed from here on?
My PC specs are as follow (custom built, 3 years+ old):
Intel i7 870
nVIDIA GeForce GTX 460
GIGABYTE P55A-UD3
Kingston 8GB DDR3 SDRAM
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) Build 7601
