PC died ?

hi there .. a weird problem I got is I was just watching YouTube only and all of the sudden my pc auto turn off

my mouse and keyboard still got lights but cpu fan isn't spinning.. nor my gtx 1070

so I went some mini diagnose and found out that removing gpu the computer starts and cpu fan spinning but no screen display.. so I try use back my old gpu gtx 660 it turns on after 3 mins then auto off and loop

so idk what's the problem now. could be PSU and could be motherboard any experience would be great!

heres the spec I using..
i3 6100
gigabyte ga-b150m-ds3h
16GB ram
xigmatek xc-500 psu 500w


TL;DR - PC turn on and off loop with old gpu.. gtx 1070 couldn't turn on.. without any gpu, it turns on but no screen display

Have you tried using the onboard graphics instead of both of your gpus?
If it works fine with you onboard graphics, then maybe your PSU doesn't supply enough power anymore for the discrete gpu.

tried without GPU and just use onboard graphic still no display will consider getting a psu like the previous user suggest.. but since now is **.. dk where can get PSU other than overpriced parts online

Most PSU online so far i see are $5-15 higher than retail prices, so not too bad ba tbh.
my 2c, don't ever cheap out on PSUs

Use the GTX660 to power up the PC and quickly access the BIOS to set the default Display to Auto or iGPU.

If the power on duration is too short to perform the above, reset the BIOS should set the Display Options to Auto instead of PCIe (for discreet gfx card) for using the i3 6100 Intel® HD Graphics 530 iGPU.

With your gtx 1070, it doesnt even turn on

Thoughts:
1) Sounds like either psu is insufficient to support gtx 1070 or faulty gtx 1070

2) On/off loop likely to be resolved by unplugging and plugging back pc components + repaste thermal paste on cpu + reset cmos battery

Depends. but mostly windows will show a stopcode error followed by ram as the reason

Depends on what?

TS's computer ain't starting up without endless loop of power ON/OFF and who would expect the system to boot up to Windows and display a Memory error stop code?

thanks for everyone replies.. I tried your method also nothing fix.. I re apply thermal on both gpu and cpu remove and change new battery in also same ..

and to others - also with the power on there's no POST .. so there's no way to go bios to reset default..

I thinking of getting a psu call armageddon 600w any good? got nice disco lights

Just go with some mainstream brands tbh, corsair / evga / seasonic / coolermaster

can ram issues cause a on off loop?

My PC always encountered on/off loop some times back. End up is RAM issue. If u have 2 pcs of ram, take one out and use one pc to see if it solve the problem. If problem persists, take out and swap the other pc of ram into it and test again.

I also use a Autosol paste to polish the ram gold contacts area and after that no more such issue.

those good brand too expensive.. few years back seasonic m12ii are like 70ish 80ish.. now 100+.. wouldn't go to crazy on psu counterpart. wouldn't mind getting an ok psu
