Tmr will be going down to SLS to get the below

Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP + i7-4770
32GB Ram
Crucial m500 120G SSD
Western Digital 1TB

Samsung DVD
Windows 7 Pro
Office 2013
Seasonic m12ii

I need suggestions for casing , graphic cards.
budget is around 2.5K
no need monitor, keyboard and mouse, casing just any cheap casing will do.
Mainly the rig will be used for rendering. Was looking at a 780 or R9 290x

if you are rendering i think a 2011 platform would be better.
the extra core will mae a difference..
also a quadro will accelerate your rendering time..

but what exactly are u using? maya, 3dsm, after effects?

This qn just came to mind. So far, all I know is that quadro helps rendering time for 3D rendering. But what for 2D renderings? a.k.a video + image like Adobe premiere pro, after effects, photoshop.

Sorry noob qn. I guess it ultimately depends on whether the software has support for quadro rendering to fully utilize it? If not the CPU will be used.
