Hi guys,

I suddenly had a BSOD While my PC was running and it happened too fast that I couldn’t see the error code and now my PC boots to bios upon restart everytime and I can’t get windows to load in. Don’t know if this is related by I was using my hairdryer close to my PC before the BSOD suddenly happened.

I9 9900k, 970 Samsung pro SSD boot drive.

Boot drive dead?

Edit: I realised my 970 boot drive is suddenly gone from the list of hard drives in bios. What happened??

Using a hair dryer in the hot mode and near to the PC is not a good practice.
The inlet fan from the PC will take in the hot air and causing the PC casing and component to get heated up.
Just like someone is cooking in the Kitchen and You .....

So, now just let it cool down and reset the bios upon bootup and remember to set the PCH storage config on M2 sata mode to Enable.
And try again.
If not detect, then remove the card and re-insert. Good Luck

M.2 slot 1 empty... ssd not recognised.
Power off, switch psu on/off, let it cool down for a 30minutes and restart.
Hope it's just the NVME SSD overheat.

If you have this problem of over heating. Now mkt is selling the heat sink which can be mouted onto the card with clip just like the Ram. Abt $15 for a sets.
But try to control the heat built up in the casing.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Just sitting here waiting for it cool down and hoping for the best.

dun worry, the M2 Sata will not die that easily but it is thin enough to be break easily. so pls handle it with care and dun force it during inserting and dun over tighten the screw.

PC booting up fine now. Guess it was the hot air overheating the 970 Pro SSD. Never ever gonna use hair dryer near the PC ever again now.
