PC no display, no boot

Hi,
My PC broke down a few days ago.
I have removed all components except PSU, CPU, 1 RAM stick and some fans. Board has onboard graphics so I have connected to it. bios speaker not connected so no beeps.

When power on, there is no display. 2 fans connected to molex is running with light. 1 fan connected to MB is running but without light.

There was just this one random time where I managed to bootup to BIOS so i guess my onboard grahics work. The fan connected to the MB had the lights on too.

Things I have checked working on other PC.
- PSU
- Monitor
- DVI cable

What do you think guys? Do you think still can be RAM issue?

If you have 2 sticks of ram try using one at a time. Make sure that minimal things are connected and try using onboard graphics for now.

Unfortunately, I have only 1 stick 8GB DDR4 ram. My other PC only supports DDR3.

Wondering if I should buy the same RAM and try. If old RAM is the issue, then I have a new RAM. If its not the issue then I will have 16GB RAM

Alternatively, get a cheap 2nd hand 4GB DDR4 ram.

I more worried about the light not turning on for the fan connected to MB. Maybe voltage not enough, indicating a MB problem

i think its ram issue, use eraser rub gold contact then use brush to remove the debris.

Haha,... now where did I hear that from?

It was me a few weeks back and people laughed! Yes give that a go and see if that helps,... these are very old troubleshooting steps I used back in the 90's
