My mom's PC ytd suddenly froze, upon restarting it wouldn't boot to windows. Checking bios it seems that it is not detecting the SSD, but i power down, change ports and it work. I changed it back and it still works. I don't think it is the SSD dying though, but more of the sata port dying. Or could it be just the sata connectors? SSD is a 840 pro which is about 4 years i think. Mobo i'm not very sure the exact model as i'm not at but it is a 7 series mobo with a i5 2400 cpu. Any ideas on what should more likely be the problem?

it has only been a year and that is the only sata 3 port. lol. on the other hand, my other old rig has been running for 6 years and the sata ports are still fine. Starting to feel like MSI quality is much better than Asrock.
