PC on then off then on again

as above, it starts again then boots into uefi asking me to press f1 to continue or f2 to uefi setup. this happens at every boot up..

specs:
asrock b75 pro 3-m with i5 3470
gtx 970
samsung 240gb ssd
hitachi 500gb hdd
2 x 4gb ram
seasonic psu

Likely is motherboard issue.

Ssd fail to detect? Try to change sata port on the mobo, change cable for ssd.

If both fail, see if the motherboard detect the hard disk or not. If it does, RMA the SSD. If it doesn't, maybe consider getting a new/2nd hand motherboard or do a major overhaul haha

Try to configure boot priority correctly. Not sure what happen to your pc. Sometimes could be windows 10 update messing up, especially recent 1803 update, mess up quite a bit of stuff here and there.

in my boot settings I set ssd as #1 and #2 I disabled it

I tried:
removing ram and putting back
removing cmos battery
removing hdd
re arranging the sata cables

Usually if electronic problem with disk. Chances is bios cannot detect it. If just media issue Eg bad sector. You will need till OS started then you can use some utility to check.

Not sure if your board is new. You may want yo check or replace the CMOS battery, otherwise suspect power supply.

Check the date/time while in the BIOS settings, and see if it is out of sync.

Make sure the power on the wall switch is turned off, then turn it on before powering the PC up to do the above check.

This is what happens when i just on the pc

press power button > on for 1 sec > off > boot into UEFI screen and press f1 to continue > off again > on and continue to windows

Did you remember to plug in your hdd and ssd
and remember each got 2 cables

Then replace the Mobo Battery

See if that helps

Clear CMOS...etc

If not, its mobo bios corruption

this motherboard always seem to have lot of issues after 2-3 years, most likely motherboard

ok guys thanks for all your help! it seems ok now, i have changed the cmos battery and updated the bios driver. will continue to monitor. thanks!
