PC overheating very badly

Hi guys, like the title stated, i have a very badly overheated pc. I'm currently running on 2 nvidia gtx 570 twin frozr and a i7-2600 which i only have a stock cooler for it. It gets really bad even when i'm playing games like dota 2, where i have to open up the case(pretty ****ty case, i've got too). Recently it overheated so badly that my computer hard disk actually crashed and i had to get new ones. How i got a rig like this, well.. long story.

So now with a tight budget, what are some recommendations you guys think would help improve it?

Make sure your fans and heat sinks are free from dust as it blocks the air flow.
Tidying up your cables may improve air circulation.

Don't have experience in SLI temperature issues but a lot here can surely help you in this regard.

U got can the fans and heat sink? Since u say u open the case it gets dusty pretty easily

Thanks for the replies guys, hmm with regards to the cleaning part, i do so every 3-4 months, things will improve but if i forget to clean it regularly and just play, it might crash again unexpectedly. So im really hoping for more permanent solutions that could help making it cooler.

U overclock? Maybe get better in take fans.

Get better heatsink. Try deepcool ones if you on budget.Or get better thermal paste. It seems like the thermal paste may have harden.

O ya.. if you getting HS, get those that are push pins. Since some models require you to remove your mobo to install their brankets. And make sure they can be use with your mobo.

What case is it? You could also buy more case fans since you have 2 gfx card inside

Get a proper CPU cooler heatsink probably copper ones. Get additional thermal paste and apply.

Next is the Case fan. Check if there is any dust blockage. Dust it off and use get a wire mesh to retain the dust on wire mesh.

Next is check the Case has anymore slots for a 120mm fan. If possible mount it as an exhaust to draw out heat.

What case is it, well frankly i have no idea, i've never seen anthing like this but i'll just assume its some cheapo case since i think it has pretty bad airflow. Any recommendation for mid tower cases?

undervolt your i7...if u undervolt by 10% u could drop temps easily by 7-10deg C or more if the system is stable...

Currently for my case its only able to hold 90mm fans and the slots are pretty awkward. So i'm actually looking to get a new mid tower case in the future when i have the funds for it. I'll take note of the wire mash part!

Regarding the dusting part, anything i should take note? Cause i dont wanna get clumsy and screw my pc lol.

undervolt your i7...if u undervolt by 10% u could drop temps easily by 7-10deg C or more if the system is stable...

I've never done something like that before but i believe majority of the heat comes from the gpu, will this help with that as well?

I've received quite a mix response regarding the whole water cooling where some of them said it'll require a lot of maintenance or something along that line. Also, im not entirely sure on how the whole water cooling system works, does it cools the gpu as well?

if you have a budget try buying these

1) Fractal Design Arc Midi r2
2) buy 2 more 140mm fans


your stock heatsink for cpu should be enough you just need a good casing with good airflow

Unless you also plan to use water cooling on your GPU, if not everything remains the same.

Water cooling have the cool factor in. Those all-in-ones currently selling are good, if you are an OCer, getting them is a good idea, vs a top of the line Heatsink can be quite heavy and bulky.

easiest way is, open up side casing, get a KDK fan and blow it
