PC/PSU Expert advice please

My old PSU Andyson (500W bronze) have survive so many years and am thinking of changing it for safety

Cooler Master MWE Gold 650 V2 Full Modular, 650W, 80+ Gold Efficiency
~$70 (seems like very good deal? Local SRP is $129), no warranty though i guess since from US

wow, your Andyson PSU really in good form. I believe is more than 15 years now.. anyway as what jitjt00. to have some peace in mind, get seasonic, though I decomission my seasonic Focus GX650. it's been serving me well, even as a test PSU, when I test things outside an actual build, the safe surge on the PSU is superb. During testing, I did short some of my components by accident, this PSU does detect overcurrent or short circuit and it will automactically stop. Just need to unplug and replug the main plug, recheck all connection and it will start to work again.

As for the rest of the PSU. so far only tested EVGA, Coolermaster (SFX model) , Silverstone SFX-L, no issues or whatsover. as most of these I've tested are either 80 plus gold or titanium or platinum.

Depend on your PC specs as well as graphic card you used.

Most basic PSU I would recommend would be Seasonic S12III-650 watt.

FYI some Asus PSU are build by Seasonic so they do not make PSU themselves.
Cooler master also the same, most of their PSU are made by OEM partners.

just checked on 11.11, aiming for ~$100 range

1) Seasonic Core GM-650 SimiModular Gold $100
2) Superflower Legion GX PRO 650 Semi Gold $101

Any advice or better alternative?

iirc think i've upgraded 2 sets of cpu/mb/ram over the years and my this andyson is still going strong

that's the model that made me RMA PSU first time ever in my 15 years of PC DIYing.

650 watt is OK, actual power draw still depend on PC components.
Even if get lesser watt PSU it still depend on PC power requirement
which I don't think this PC draws a lot of power.

But the graphic card is dated hardware, not sure what type of games you play.
If you want a more energy efficient PC, suggest change that to a GTX1650 (75watt)
since it consume way lesser power than the old GTX 970. (150watt)

Yes my gtx960 is very dated due to i dont really game anymore on PC, mainly just browsing and media.
infact am actually considering to make a switch from 3600 to 5600g for the integrated graphics if its capable of handling multiple tabs browsing + media etc @ 1440p.

Shouldn't have any issue, if just for normal use the AMD Ryzen iGPU which is a Radeon is more
than capable. But you have to update the motherboard BIOS first before upgrading.
