PC reboots when gaming

Installing H80i, just watch the grille side and open side of the H80i.

The cpu cooler fan is to push or pull air through the radiator to cool the water within the AIO. Right now, you are pulling the air through he radiator into the casing, those air will be slightly warmed due to the radiator.

The concept of airflow is basically wind blowing through your house and we use "fans" to create that wind. Each fan create certain amount wind which we call air volume. Right now, you have a lot of air volume within the casing. Having that much air volume in the case would lead to the air being stagnate within the case for longer than necessary, resulting in slightly higher heat and also faster dust accumulation. Ideally, we want balanced air volume for in and out therefore it is advised that you get one more case fan to blow the air out, even if you fixed your wrongly positioned cpu fan. Alternatively, you can remove one of the front fans.

I think the main issue is the wrong side of the fan (both input), i dont think i will be removing any fans cos its already heating up fast enough. My GPU goes up to 84C in BDO very easily.

Pretty much. You have intake both in front and back. Hence you're pushing air from outside to inside from both sides.

Your CPU already sits in a spacious and well ventilated environment so its likely your CPU airflow is causing the heat buildup. Ideally you want the airflow for your CPU to be a continuous flow. One side in, other side out.

As explained, even if you fixed your wrongly positioned CPU fan and therefore resulting in 2 outflow via cpu and gpu, your 3 input fans is still pulling great amount of air from the front and your 2 outflow is not pushing out as much air.

This result in high positive pressure pressure within the casing, you will have a air stagnation within the casing. When you have air stagnation, it just means part of the warmed air gonna be trapped inside. So what happen when you got air trap inside? It means these warm air will slowly increase your pc temperature.

What you want to obtain is balanced airflow with same amount of air coming in and out.

Yes, not all parts in computer are designed to handle high heat. You mentioned your GPU is at 90 degree and that is for your GPU processor alone. A gpu isn't made up with just the processor, it still has other components. If other components overheat, it will still crash.

after 2 hrs of gaming, my Overwatch temp v cool

My PC always reboots itself when I'm playing Black Desert Online, more specifically only when I'm fighting world bosses when there are many players fighting it and there's many skills and graphical effects going on. But when I'm not doing any intensive stuff, the game runs normally. Also, I'm running the game at the lowest setting.

I play dota2 and csgo as well and they run with no issues. I've tried reformatting my pc and doing a clean installation of windows but it's the same.

My PC specs:

Nvidia GTX 1080Ti
i7-8700K
16GB Ram
650 PSU
MPG Z390 GAMING PRO CARBON AC

I have absolutely no idea what's causing it (which part is faulty). Any help is appreciated thanks!

Yes. And I'm speaking from personal experience with my own PC as well. There are two key parts that output the most amount of heat. The CPU and the GPU. Either of those two overheat and it can lead to your desktop crashing. And despite their maximum operating temperature likely being said to be within range, you ideally, won't want to keep it constantly running at that temperature. Heat isn't a good thing when it comes to your PC. Keeping it as low as possible is ideal.

Skyshroud is right also in that other components would get affected by that heat. So as much as you want, you'd want to dissipate as much of that heat as possible.

Also, nobody wants to be gaming for an extended period of time next to something that is acting like a heating oven. Gets very uncomfortable over time

How old is your setup? In my experience, my desktop computers can get into unusual overheat instability after a long time because of... DUST.

Dust accumulated and clogging up the fans and heat sinks can have harmful effects. In very dirty situations, a good vacuuming will "magically" can resolve the problem.
