PC recommend for budget 1k+?

Hi all

current desktop keep crashing and need to get a new desktop.

Can anyone help to recommend a build for 1k excluding monitor?

mostly use for surfing net, watch videos, ibanking etc. not really going for gaming desktop anymore.

Is it a good time to get a new build?
i keep reading to wait till end of the year cos something new is coming out soon and prices will drop??

You don't even need 1k for such pc. Go for i3 10100 build with 8 gb ram is good enough.

hmmm, can watch hd quality video with onboard graphics still? or should get some decent graphics card? sorry i really noob with computer stuff.

also, how to deal with existing data in old hdd? should i reuse the old hdd(quite old already not ssd) or get a new hdd to transfer them all over?

Buy a ssd and transfer the data from hdd.

If you're not fussy you can just get aftershock to build for you. Less than $1k can get a decent mid end PC easily

If you want to DIY you can wait for 11:11 sales or black friday next month, sure got discount.

AMD gonna announce new CPU later this month, so current and older CPU might get discount to clear stock, but nobody know
