PC shuts down during game

Hi. I will to ask that my PC randomly shuts down upon playing cs and Dota 2. And when it reboots nth appear. Only light on the power button of the computer. Does any one knows why?
My rig is
i5-4460
ASRock B85- killer
Palit gtx 970 ( running at 50% fan speed even though is 75degree c)
Coolermaster 850m
2x4 gb ram

my guess is over heating. BIOS setting to shutdown when temperature above certain degree.

Try enable the alarm when it reach x degrees. Then u wait and see got alarm when u game or not

Try running benchmark like Unigine heaven.

If it shut down, take out gpu, reboot try again. See the Temps for the cpu and see if it is the cpu that overheat (hitting 90 deg). If overheat, change the cooler.

If it doesn't shut down, means gpu might have issue. Send it for rma.

Or try run Prime. The CPU temp will spike like crazy, but it shld stabilize and taper at some high temp. See If the temp rise like crazy and shutdown

Isolate out the gpu first. Make sure not gpu before troubleshoot the cpu. Gpu have higher failure rate usually.

Buy a PSU that is not cooler master. Or faulty 970

had a similar problem before and found that my problem was the power supply. changed it and all was back to normal.

yup had this issue changed psu till date no problem. 3 mth old corsair rm750x had issue i guess havent rma yet. change it with 1000 rmi so far so good and quieter

Can consider getting Superflower/EVGA/corsair 650W

Rams might as well just add another 2 sticks of 4 gb to bring it up to 16gb

Nope your mobo doesn't support ddr4, only able to use ddr3 NON ECC
