PC shutting down itself.

Hi all,

need some help on my current gaming rig. i am having this issue whereby either

1. i am gaming halfway through
2. just doing simple browsing on chrome
3. just turned on the pc and moving the mouse

the monitor will lose signal, the keyboard and mouse light will go off (like its been shut down) however the CPU is still running. i can hear the fan running and the on indicator light is still there.

Moving the mouse or tapping the keyboard does nothing, monitor displaying usb/analog word (means no signal).

Holding the on/off button does not switch off the CPU, only way to resolve is switching off the power completely.

no windows error and no beeping sound, it will just go off.

initially thought is the gfx overheating but this issue can happen when i just turned on first time of the day and going to open my chrome.
sometimes i can game bf4 for 3-4 hrs with no issue.
any idea what may be the problem and i intend to bring back to bizgram but at this point of time i dun even know what is causing it.

Try your intergrated graphics and see what will happen?

Alternatively check is the hdmi or dvi cable got issue?

ASUS H87I MINI ITX
KINGSTON 8 GB RAM
CM EX2 725W Power Supply
Samsung SSD 120 GB
GIGABYTE R9 280X
CM Elite 120 M-ITX case


I already have 725W power supply, this should not be an insufficient voltage issue right?

Rayfrosty - first thing i troubleshoot was the cables already, switch with some lying around and it still does it.

I downloaded hwmonitor, do i just keep it running?
