Pc unable to boot

Hi all, my pc was unable to boot this morning - appreciate all help! This is an diy rig; newly built by myself.

Symptoms: it started with blue screen of death with stop code showing : critical process died and page fault in non paged area amongst the rest (cant recall all). There are a few times i was able to load to desktop for a few minutes however it goes back to blue screen once dota is loaded. Now its showing black screen , with no signal detected from monitor. Keyboard led still works with pc and cpu fan still spinning. There was however a red light coming from mobo near the bottom right side.

What was tried
1. Changing hdmi cable
2. Changing monitor
3. Removing gfx and switching to onboard graphica but none work

Specs (all are relatively new purchased last sep'23 except gfx)
Ryzen 5600
Asrock b550m ac
Xpg rams
Msi ventus 3x 3070 (2nd hand)
Sk hynix 1tb p41 ssd
Seasonic focus gold gx550

u can check which led it stops on, will help u diagnose which part is faulty.

Thanks for the reply. The motherboard should have onboard graphics? The red light disappears after a while

no. having display outputs on the mobo doesnt mean it has onboard gfx (theyre for processors with onboard graphics eg 5600g, 5700g with g at the end of the name), in fact gfx on the mobo hasnt been a thing for a very long time.

The red light disappears after a while

if all red lights turn off then it should indicate nothing much wrong and it should boot ...

Got try with 1 stick of ram and swapping between sticks?

try to boot with 1 ram at a time. try with different slot too.

also can try to make a linux boot disc onto a external thumb drive to boot from there and check, just in case is ur ssd spoil or the installation currupted

To rule out the suspected component. It seem to be gpu issue as it's the only 2nd hand hardware in your pc build. Mind telling how old is your gpu ? Lastly, ryzen 5600 cpu does not have onboard gpu.

hi all thanks for all the help! i tried to re-sit the rams and it did help to boot to the desktop, however, the black screen of death still happens (e.g 2 out of 3 boots). Ran memtest86 for about 2.5hours and the rams came back with 0 errors. I'm thinking of using 1 ram for each of the 4 ram slots each day to run apps and play games and see how it goes.

What's the likelihood that the motherboard ram slots are faulty? wanna confirm as replacing motherboard would be a pain in the ass.

happen to me before.

check your event view if got streams of whea errors. my ryzen 5000 got this and i rma with Amd.

meantime i just buy another 5600G and straight post no problems.

Everything will spoil one day, even good brand, see heng suay Nia.

Depend if you got OCD or not, you can alway run your system with 3 ram slot,no need to replace

Higher chance of ram failure than ram slot. Manually set ram to 1.35v in bios so they run stable, select to run the xmp profile. Try each stick of the ram in the same slot and boot several times to test if any of them can cause the pc not to post. If all of them are working, also make sure the rams are the same and matched for the same speed, and slotted correctly for dual channel. Sometimes the ram and slot may not make good contact (pins on the slot are damaged or loose) or just need to be scratched a bit for good contact, try slotting in and taking out a few times.
