PC unable to start

My PC was unable to start recently.

After I press the power button, the system will beep just like a normal start up, then it powers off, then powers on again and the whole cycle restarts over and over.

I tried using 1 stick of RAM, switched RAM slot, tried other RAM stick, tried a different PSU, removed graphics card and ran onboard graphics.

Below are the specs of my PC:
Intel Core i5-6400
Gigabyte GA-Z170MX-Gaming 5
2 x 16GB Kingston HyperX DDR4-2400
Sapphire Nitro+ RX Vega 64
Samsung SSD 850 EVO M.2 500GB
FSP Hexa+ 500W PSU

Any folks to enlighten me on how to resolve this issue?

May I know does it happened before bios screen or after going into windows?

Is it possible to stay longer time in BIOS without restart?

How old is your system? Did it reach the ram checking stage? If it never reach the ram checking stage, could be Bios or CMOS battery.

It happened before the BIOS screen. My monitor detected that there's a video signal but then nothing appears.

Should be 4 years old already. I supposed that it has reached the ram checking stage, as the system makes a normal beep sound.

Btw, I did not do any BIOS update at all.

If the CMOS battery is flat, will sometimes have this kind of funny restart issue.
Easier is try replacing your CMOS battery since it's the easier thing to do first.

Hmm... I had dead CMOS battery twice or thrice. It will bootup normally then ask you setup bios as if it is your first time. U can restart and every bios data will be stored until you turn off the plug. Then need to do bios setup aa if it is the first time again. It did happen normally after 4~6years of usage, hinting me to overhaul.
I think high chance of Ram issue.

No lah... CMOS just retains your Bios settings. If no CMOS still can use computer normally except u need to set ur bios settings, date & time every time u boot up.

No lah... CMOS just retains your Bios settings. If no CMOS still can use computer normally except u need to set ur bios settings, date & time every time u boot up.

I encountered before it won't boot up at all. Replace the battery then no problem.

- Remove SSD check whether can it boot
- If have spare psu can test whether current faulty or not.

try remove gpu see can start bo.

if cannot try with 1 ram only.

if still cannot remove ssd or hdd

if all else fail try shocking ur psu see if it can turn on, if cannot then psu. if can then maybe mobo

Mabye u wanna dismantle everything out from the case. Test the system barebone with mobo+CPU+ram+GPU and PSU only and narrow down the problem.
