PC upgrade: now or wait?

Should I wait till next year for overall upgrade?
or upgrade CPU only and use existing 7850 and wait for mainstream DX12 cards next year?


1. OS: Windows 10 is out (DX12!)
2. CPU: Skylake is out
3. GPU: Only high end and expensive cards supports DX12

Use: Steam FPS games. Nextflix. HD movie decoding.

Just get at least gtx970 lo , if u wan higher one there is alot more 390x , 980, 980ti

the point is you wait and wait .. while other people on 980 Ti and Fury are happily playing MGS, Fallout 4, Mad Max, Rainbow Six Siege, Star Wars Battlefront, Need for Speed, XCOM2 and Hitman this year

if you don't want to play these games with nice visuals and good fps .. then wait loh

When talking about upgrade, the only times u shld wait are:
1) When you don't have enough money.
2) When the product you are eyeing for ran out of stock and you are waiting for local distro to replenish stocks.
3) When the warranty of your current parts are still valid (buying new parts would be compiling white elephants lying around).

Other than that, please go buy. Coz the waiting syndrome is a vicious cycle. By the time you finish waiting for the prices to drop, another better product will catch your eye and it will take over the hefty price tag.
