Hi guys,
I've little experience in dealing with Computer Hardware but I was looking at only upgrading my current Graphics Card (Nvidia Geforce GTX 460)
However, I've been advised that it would make sense to upgrade my Motherboard & Processor too due to potential Bottleneck Issues. And also my Casing as its size is quite small for Higher-end Graphic Cards.
CPU Current Specs are as follows,
Processor - Intel Core i5-760 2.8GHz 8MB LGA1156
Mainboard - MSI P55A-GD65 LGA1156 SATA3 & USB3.0
Graphics Card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460
Memory - Kingston HyperX DDR3-1600Mhz Low Voltage 4GB x2
Storage - Seagate ST31000528AS Barracuda 7200.12 Hard Drive - 1TB, 7200 rpm, 32MB, SATA-3G
Optical Storage - LG 22X GH22NS40 DVDRW SATA
Casing - CoolerMaster Elite 310
PSU - Andyson F600M Modular 88% 600W
Audio - Onboard
OS - Windows 7 Home Premium
I've been advised that it makes sense to get the GTX 770 but with the release of the GTX 760, would it might make sense to get the latter? as the price difference is approximately SGD200+
Also, I'm thinking of getting an SSD but I'm not sure to pick either the Sandisk Extreme 240GB or the Samsung 840 250GB.
Or should I get the Plextor M5Pro or the Samsung 840 Pro (Both of which are a lot more expensive & I'm not sure the higher performance is worth paying for)
For Motherboard & Processor,
i5 4570 gigabyte h87-d3h @ $426.
Would this bundle make sense for the CPU?
Lastly, I was thinking of getting a used Silverstone FT-02 Casing @ $150 but I'm not sure if Market Common Sense dictates that buying a new casing would be more sensible.
The new casing would be a NZXT Phantom 410 @$150 too
Charge for Service of putting them together would be $40.
If your recommendations would require further information,
feel free to let me know as I'm not too sure what is needed.
