Hi all,

Happy New Year!
My PC is currently hinting for an upgrade. Hope you guys could assist with some suggestions please.
In red are those I have gathered from across the recommendation threads, and black are to be reusing my existing components. Would be great if folks could give me some suggestions.

CPU/MB: I5-6500 + (MSI B150M Bazooka OR GIGABYTE b150m-d3h);
Graphics: MSI R7850 Power Ed 2GD5/OC;
Memory: G.skill 8gb 2400mhz;
SSD: Corsair 120GB
HHD: Seagate 500GB + Seagate 1TB (for raid1)
Power Supply: Seasonic X series 850W
Casing: NZXT H440 Or CoolerMaster Master Case 5
OS: Windows 7 (Do I need to reinstall the OS?)

Thank you!

Regards,

Hi,

Because I'm doing only light gaming.. So though I would let is stay till it dies off. For the SSD I would still be using the Corsair one.

Thanks for the quick response!

get another 1 tb drive if you want to raid because you would only have a 500gb raid partition if you use your 500gb drive in the array.

also note that raid initialization will make start-up times slower

Since it is only light gaming & adminitrative use...isn't your current PC good enough?

What's your monitor size...maybe upgrade to bigger?
