PC upgrading advice

I need help on my PC.

I built this about 5years back with the help from bros in the forum.

CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-3450 + Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V
RAM: G.Skill NT DDR3-1333 CL9 4GB [Black PCB] X2
GPU: MSI gtx 670 oc
HDD: Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.C 1TB [SATA III]
ODD: LG 24X CD/DVD Writer [OEM]
CASE: Sharkoon TS28 [Blue]
WIFI: TL-WN722N with Hi-Gain 2dB

I have since then upgraded my GPU to Geforce Gtx 960. One of my rams have spoilt and i could not get a replacement. I'm thinking of replacing the mobo and pass this PC to my wife. Any ideas on the mobo

I am looking to build a PC for myself

I do not play games as often as before but when I do, i would like to be able to play all sorts of games, graphic intensive ones (AAA title games) , FPS (overwatch) and indie games. I do not do much of photo editing works. No intention of overclocking.
Hope this rig to last my gaming needs for 5years or so.

I am thinking of upgrading my monitor to BenQ ZOWIE XL2730 144hz too.

Budget about 1.5k. If need be, can stretch till 1.7k

You don't need the exact same RAM. Most DDR3 should work. Around $60 for 2X4 GB second-hand.

You will not be able to find a socket 1155 MB new at a reasonable price. Try marketplace, there are usually a few second-hand ones available for less than a hundred.

Re your PM, your existing CPU is Intel 3rd generation as can be seen from the first digit "3" in i5-3450.

Both 2nd and 3rd gen CPUs use socket 1155 motherboards, which you can determine from the "6" or "7" in the first digit of the motherboard model number e.g. the "7" in "Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V".

If you are not sure, just ask the seller.
