Hi all, whenever i switch on my pc, the fans inside and on the gpu would just spin for about 3 secs then stop. The lights on the mobo remains lighted.

What is the issue and how do I rectify it? Thanks.

- Test your RAM one stick at time.
- After RAM still nothing than if you have a spare PSU than test with one.

High chance is faulty RAM, if the RAM is locally brought you can bring to service center for RMA.

6 yrs old is about the end of life span of a pc. Bring money and your pc to SLS to troubleshoot and replace
if it still can't work after trying techidiot's methods.

I recently encountered this on my HP Omen, realised that this happens after i use HP program to update BIOS firmware. I connected the HDMI cable to a HDMI switch (2in 1out) tried to switch but it shows no output.
I boot up without RAM and I do get the usual BIOS beeping for no RAM. But when I placed back into the RAM slot again it spins up and stops and even resets on it's own. Did a few hard reset (pressing power for more than 3secs) and boot up it keeps doing the same cycle.
Did a direct connection to the monitor and it showed the BIOS updating screen. After completing BIOS update it boots as normal even with the HDMI switch.
Key question is what was done before this happen? any update or change in hardware? any beeping?
