pc wont turn on

i switches from an old ikonik en2 case to a phanteks p400. pc ran in old case but wont turn on at all in new case. psu everything the same. tried turning on with another psu, no go. dead motherboard?

Maybe the power button on panel controller on your new case is faulty? Have you tried directly shorting the power pins on the motherboard to see if it turns on?

I think you are not getting what redhouse is saying. Whether old or new PSU, you are still using the same new casing power button to switch on. He is telling you to remove the front panel power cable and manual short (power on) with screw driver.

and what i meant was, i already did. i took out the mobo and put it on the mobo box( the cardboard box it came in). tried that twice with 2 different psus and still wont work. i tried turning on the com both in and out of the new case. 4 times total.

In case anyone was wondering, the computer ran fine in the morning which is why i didnt test the components when i took it out of the old case.

Might want to check the obvious too. Like did u connect all power cables to the mobo? Both the 24pin ATX and 8pin CPU power? The power socket u use to test is it working? Is the C13/C14 cable u use to power it working etc
