I actually don’t believe there will be any impact when it comes to a RX 6700 XT, whether you are using it on a PCI-E 3.0 or 4.0 slot. Most current games do not require anything more than 8GB of VRAM and the RX 6700 XT has 12GB. So with minimal to no need to hit the system memory, the PCI-E 3.0 x16 is more than enough to maintain peak performance. In the review that you shared, the GPU itself is a problem because its got super low memory bandwidth, 4GB of VRAM which is low by today’s standard, and further gimped by a narrow x4 PCI-E BUS. Under normal circumstances, if you use the RX 6500 XT on a PCI-E 4.0 slot, that x4 won’t be a that big a problem. However, when you are stuck with PCI-E 3.0, that bus will be very limiting.
