Was having some issue with my gtx 970 not appearing on my second com, so i took it out and somehow broke the pcie express locking tab.

Got it to work again, and now it stopped working again. Apparently, can't detect the 970.

Is there any solution? The motherboard is new... Asrock, should i send to service center? or is there a solution to secure it in place?

Use your other PCIe Slot?

technically the locking tab is not supposed to affect performance

you can try re-seating ur GPU, or like the above, try another PCI-e slot

The tab doesn't do shyt... except make your life difficult when removing. It is not needed to hold the card in position during operation, and doesn't hold hard enough to avoid accidental disconnect anyway.

The only good one is the pivot type that when pressed downwards will push the card upwards, makes deinstallation easier. The most stupid type is the single piece of plastic which should be snapped off if possible.

But now it's very loose lei, he can't put vertically up, must put horizontally and i think when moving that part may have loosen it somehow.

Is there any way to secure it in place?

Turn your casing 90 degree.
So your mobo will be in horizontal position.
Try and see if your sibei heavy bui bui GPU can detect or not when not fighting against gravity.

You can check out cardkeeer.net

The item is quite hard to find in retail, though.

Hi I helped my friend double check all the connection and it's working fine. And it started working. Update firmware. Put back case. On again. The fan start up and stop running Liao. Change zotac to MSI. It runs but no display. I really don't know what's happening....

Using motherboard gpu works... So shouldn't be PSU issue cause MSI card was spinning
