Is there any personal liability insurance that covers accidental injury to another person?

Certain type of insurance such as Home insurance, travel insurance and car insurance covers personal liability.

How about personal accident insurance for an accident caused by you accidentally to someone else (eg. Riding a bicycle and knocked someone accidentally... Or fell down the escalator causing those in front all to get injured)

Is there any of such cover?

Very rare for individuals to get liability insurance. The last time I got this was during my events biz days to cover the event from issues with the public.

Maybe, but this is “Money Mind.” There are hopefully many people accumulating substantial wealth and (even more hopefully) spreading it around, changing the world for the better. They may have some assets to protect against rare but possible calamitous, adverse events. That’s what insurance is for!

FWIW the highest personal liability coverage I’ve found “generally available” (easy for the general public to buy) in Singapore is QBE’s Home Prestige home (also tenant*) insurance policy. The personal liability coverage is up to S$5 million. For HDB dwellers that policy currently costs S$108 per year, and it’s not much more expensive for private condo dwellers. But you really must read the policy wording carefully to understand the limits of coverage. Sadly it’s not “all-risks” coverage.

If anyone has found better personal liability coverage I’d like to know about it. Better could mean better policy wording, a higher limit, and/or lower premiums. Out of simple curiosity I like to keep tabs on what’s available in the insurance market whether or not I’m personally interested in buying it.

* A lot of people are under the mistaken impression that only homeowners can buy home insurance, or that only homeowners could possibly need home insurance. Nope. Tenants can also usually buy these policies, and it can be important coverage for tenants too.
