I have Thalassemia Beta Minor.
Not eligible for downpes, maybe i do not have specialist letter? Or not serious at all?

When i was young doctor said i do not have enough red blood cells or something like that, and was on medication.

Was PES BP last year, now downpes temp(not due to thalassemia)

Asked a few MOs, they say no problem. Only once an old MO wanted me to do a blood test, but i was never called to do the blood test.

If you have thalassemia you need to be more alert about your body, as the signs can be continuous and distracting, maybe due to the lack of "oxygen".

I do have some symptoms, sometimes it can get quite bad during training.

Examples will be feeling very tired the whole day, getting tired easily, fainting signs when training hard or using too much strength.

When doing 2.4 or long distance run, will have short periods of weakness, and will feel like going to faint suddenly, but must be alert to lower the intensity or slow down.

Sudden shortness of breath is also quite scary, especially when swimming, or 2.4km run.

Sometimes constant tiredness will affect judgement and reaction time as well, especially if you are handling firearms, you do not want to loose control or concentration

So must be very careful even though doctors says nevermind
