Hi all! Im writing to ask if anyone has had this experience before..

Currently, I have completed all checkups from the initial compulsory one and they sent me to do an extra one; namely the asthma blowing test and treadmill test.
For various reasons, this got dragged out ( Officer-in-charge was absent on the day i was supposed to take the test).
FURTHERMORE, they told me to go to CGH for medical review. So i went. It was around December after my A levels. The doctor told me i had to do another lab blowing test for my asthma because ''the one i took earlier was not official''..
So i went to take the ''lab blowing test'' and its exactly the freaking same **** i went through during the initial test. And the doctor told me to come back on 25th March 2015 for another medical review.
THEN, I received the enlistment letter and I am to enlist on 7th Apr. Apparently, I am PES E and i must go through 4weeks of modified BMT with book-outs everyday.
FYI, its 4 hours round trip from my house to Kranji Camp. T_T
If you have read until here, i sincerely thank you and i really would appreciate any form of advice/suggestions/opinions!!:)

I'm looking for anyone with similar experiences that can tell me what actually happened.
Even if they dont have similar experiences, what i want to know is how do i go from here? I wish to retake my a levels fyi.
Is it advisable to up my pes to pes b coz i have Napfa gold.

That is the question. I myself dont even know why im in PES E. They didnt even say anything and told me to enlist.
Don't worry, you are not alone. When you enlist you will know whatever you need to know.

do note that PES and NAPFA is not related in the sense that u may be PES F, but has a gold for the latter.

retaking of A Levels will not be an excuse to defer your enlistment. u will need to apply for leave in due course.

as for your journey of 4 hrs round trip, there are many people who are in the same situation as u.

with regards to ur medical, getting your own specialist from a private hospital will speed up your medical issues with cmpb.

you can only defer your ns if you are retaking your A levels back with your old JC. means study full time, if retake on your own, then cannot.

whether up pes depends on yourself, what do you want to achieve out of your ns experience, to some people pes e is a godsend, they will just stick with it. to others, they would rather do something more meaningful with their time.

but you have to be realistic, to end up in pes e means they have detected something quite bad, even if you request to up pes, it is unlikely you will end up back in pes a/b.

regarding travel timings, sorry, just have to suck it up, bmt in tekong, sispec, ocs in jurong, pes e in kranji. now you tell me, what are the chances there are many other people in the same boat as you? 4 weeks very fast, you will be posted again. dun think so much.

You are temp PES e because of delays in enlisyment due to checkup. If you still have checkup ask doctor to write memo about your condition

So enjoy your time, once you assigned to unit, go medical officer with doctor's memo, to change PES status

Wait a few weeks to be assigned to normal BMT then go redo BMT again
