PES E1L9 - What to expect?

Hi there people,

I am going to enlist in early April and I am graded PES E1L9.

I have been posted to HRI and I would like to know what to expect, what is the working style there etc.

Also, I have a quesion on below from the NS Portal

PES E

Fit for administrative duties only.

Further subdivided into:

PES E1 – Able to participate in simple observance parades and LIFE activities.

PES E grading will be followed by L-Code (Land Deployability Code) as follows:

L9 – Able to bear firearms and protect themselves, others and property. Can be deployed in Combat Support vocations in Main Support Area, and/or Combat Service Support vocations of Brigade HQ and above.

What are these parades and does L9 mean I could get firearms training as well?

HRI is basically for things like clerk and storeman.

parades meaning some marching and military drills.

before being allowed to bear firearms, you need to be trained to use them first, so you may have firearms training.

u will only be in HRI for a very short period of time where they teach u basic stuff like marching, etc. (i think 1 or 2 weeks)

u will be posted to ur actual unit after the short period where u will remain there for ur rest of yr 2years and i dun think u will touch the rifle at all unless ur unit wants u to

LIFE activities usually refer to morning go jog those kind of things, they wont make u run like the combat people tho

HRI should be stay out. subsequently can be stay in

now PES E cannot MR so early, last time 21 years old MR liao lo!

now PES E go to a PSP platoon

i think its called "Peer Support Platoon" - basically do sai kang like sentry at rear gate and flag marshaller

basically anything about NS is ####
