Which psychotic will do this to a cute thing.
so u mean not cute=do nothing?do u think a cute thing wouldnt try to hurt others first?do u know how dangerous ur thinking is now?cute can do no wrong, hence anyone else must be wrong.figures that so many cat complaints are now being discredited n the complainant vilified cos the masses think cute can do no wrong.

my concern is that these people are like ticking time bombs.

while the law in Singapore views dogs and cats under the general category of "livestock" (which explains why our legal system is so light on penalties), the fact remains that people who commit a deliberate act of abuse / torture exhibit one common trait ... a lack of self-control.

sure, i understand that you had a bad day / a sad past / general anger at society ... whatever. there are many ways to channel out that frustration ... and they choose to torture a cat.

to that extent, i will say these people don't have mental issues. their choices are measured and deliberate. what they show they lack is self-control and the ability to discern between basic right and wrong..

which inevitably will lead to more horrific crimes down the road.
when such cases happens, people are quick to blame the person but look at the bigger picture.. it is the immense stress and pressure we have here in SG, everything has jumped up so much and nothing will change cos of the 65%. such acts are a reflection of stress and how a person went mad after. who is to blame? you know and I klnow.

The biggest picture is blame ur parents if u have to blame another but urself. Nobody owes anyone anything except parents for giving u lousy genes and circumstances.

I have 2 cats.
But imho death sentence for human killers of domestic animals is disproportionate.

There is the principle of proportionality.

To prevent, it is better to have mandatory national mental screening for the whole population to discover.

Megan Khung case & that Myanmar maid case also no death sentence.

How will this animal case have any impact?

Ministers also seems to go thru motions only. Not even sure if there's any investigations so far or not.

My guess is even after the 4th, 5th cats are done. Nothing still will seen.

That's is until some vigilante groups starts being a nuisance to public.

Alot of those cat groups are already behaving like vigilante...on social media that is.i doubt they have the guts to confront the real killers n abusers.

If not going until the extent of death sentence, at least (1) publish name and picture, (2) maintain these perpetrators in a registry, (3) no less than 12 strokes of the cane.

Apart from animal killers, I feel scammers and money laundromats should be dealt with more severely too.

But these are just, hopes at best. And meanwhile ...

laws against torture and murder of animals is indeed lacking.

before animal ask, no farm animals raise for food is different from animals initially raised as companion, but abandon due to stupid human is different.

but asking for death is too much la.

recent news already showed police can catch robbers and suspects within hours or at most days for certain crimes

obviously, these animal cases are not their priority

apparently, humans > animals. Not just here. it's world wide.

Humans have the need to protect own species, but when comes to animal conservation.... nah when got time then think about it
no need for them to catch within hours. but a series of cases already. should investigate and catch.

besides, animal abusers can evolve to serial killers.

I would rather death sentences for stray cats/dogs/pigeon feeders

Let them choose the death sentence or have them adopt and the strays live in their house permanently, pigeons no exception
