Pumped SPC at Hougang Ave 2.

Received $5 off $70 physical vouchers for May, June & July. 4 per month.

Stack of vouchers beside cashier..
is it because that station just got renovated?

if that's the case then don't think can stack

no idea... it's been like that for some time... not dated also..

is SPC planning for all stations to go to the orange/red look instead of the green look?

i wanted to use, but they din allow..... they also told me the rest of this month also dun think i can use cos now got a 21% promo going on....
The 21% promotion you're referring to is from using the American Express Card?

The upfront discount is 15% (10% SPC&U Membership Discount + 5% American Express Card Discount) and 7.1% American Express Card Rebate (effectively 7.1% * 0.85 = 6%), so total 21%.

When there is special promotion like the 23% discount, it overwrites the 15% upfront discount so you get 23% upfront discount + 7.1% American Express Card Rebate (on the outstanding amount payable so effectively 7.1% * 0.77 = 5.46%) = 28.46% discount (as compared to the regular 21%).

Now the question is whether the $5 off $70 physical coupon can be stacked with the 23% promotion. If can, then the optimal amount of petrol to pump is $90.91. ($90.91 * 0.77 - $5) * 0.929 = $60.39 (33.57% discount). Based on the coupon terms and conditions, I doubt it can stack due to clause 6.

Terms and Conditions
Coupon can be used at all SPC Stations, valid for the month of May 2024.
• Redeemable with every $70 petrol/diesel purchase (before discount) in a single receipt only.
• One original coupon is required for each $70 petrol/diesel purchase.
• Only an original coupon will be accepted and must be presented at the time of payment.
• Coupon is not exchangeable for any cash.
• Coupon cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions, other types of coupons, e-coupons and/or with special tie-ups, unless otherwise stated.
• Coupon can be used in conjunction with SPC&U Card discount and applicable credit card discounts and rebates.
• All applicable discounts shall be applied after deduction of this coupon’s value.
• Not valid for PDVL, Taxi, Corporate & SSPHBOA members.
• SPC reserves the right to amend the applicable Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
• All decisions made by SPC in respect to this coupon are final.

Update: found this screenshot shared on SPC Facebook, so probably cannot stack upsized discounts with physical coupon.

slowly do better..... then can last longer....
that's provided it's a station that's on the way for you.

if you hang in west doesn't make sense to go all the way to the east

And ya confirm these station can’t use the $5 voucher till end of the month… wonder how to count the sweetest spot… pump 70 at other stations to use 5 and if less than that or more then go the 3 special station?

May I check if the 23% discount at the Bukit Timah Sinopec is valid with payment using any credit card? Thanks.

Pretty sure all petrol stations accept credit card payment. As to whether the spending at the petrol station counts towards the credit card rewards or qualifying spend that you have to check your credit card terms and conditions.

Thanks @Arandalo. However, what I meant was can I use any credit card to pay and still get to enjoy the 23% discount? Previously, I used the OCBC credit card in order to get 23% discount. I didn't think the 23% discount was valid with payment using other credit cards.

From my knowledge Sinopec doesn’t have any specific bank credit card requirement to enjoy their discounts unlike the other 4 petrol companies where their business as usual discounts are tied with a specific bank credit card for maximum discounts.

Oh I see. I guess I have had the wrong understanding all this time. Many thanks for the clarification, @Arandalo.
