Many people wait until the CNY eve day to wash.

Long wait at washing bays and long queues at car wash in petrol kiosk.

Last time also waited until CNY eve night to wash. Wah biang, waited so long and no vacuum services. And the washing is not even good.

It's that stupid superstitious belief that "wallet must have money on Eve" - "car tank must be full on the Eve" - so that can go into the new year with a "full wallet" (rich) and a "full tank" (never empty).

But wtf lar, everyone did the same thing back in early 2020 CNY... and look what the pandemic did.

Your car also, it's a mechanical machine with a fixed FC... how tf this "full tank during eve" can "ensure you will have full tank" throughout the new year....

Got money for fueling up in SG means got money for it - losers will always go JB to pump ron95.

Well. you can choose not to believe it... just like why people believe in Jesus and why people believe in Guan Yin Ma, and why people choose not to believe in any religion..

That's what these people believe in...

Despite the fact that we are such an "advanced" society that makes use of technology in our daily lives, be it at home or at work, people still believe that such practices will "give them good luck and fortunes" in the coming CNY.

During every 1st and 15th of the chinese calendar month, can spend hundreds of dollars on incense offerings to burn away. But when it comes to owning cars and driving, refuse to pay for that $1.20 to park nicely at the nearby carpark lot behind the EPS gantry.

Go figure lor, I also still scratching my head for the last few years trying to understand why they do such things.

So many illegally parked cars every single day got small religious trinkets on their dashboards - and then I realise they put such trinkets inside their car not because they are religious in their hearts, but they put it to "ward off" the parking enforcement wardens. LOL

Oh don't get me started on that man... so many preach religion in their daily lives - do good to others, be a good neighbour... karma, what comes around goes around etc etc... and then they come out from their temples, their churches, and get into their cars and drive like an asshole immediately afterwards.

So many illegally parked cars every single day got small religious trinkets on their dashboards - and then I realise they put such trinkets inside their car not because they are religious in their hearts, but they put it to "ward off" the parking enforcement wardens. LOL

Maybe their thinking is that since they do a lot of bad things, praying to their god can protect them, like in chinese gangster movie, they pray to god before robbing a bank.
