Yes, the reason is, it's the proper channel for feedback/support. Not just post it on any place you deem fit. It doesn't matter whether anyone else comes in and read, this is for feedback, not for eyeballs. That thread isn't for feedback.

You certainly have a right to raise any issue, just don't raise it anywhere you please. Raise it at the right place and you will get answers.

You can instead start a thread to share information if you find that it's inappropriate to answer in that thread.

Now, please read this guy's previous post. He is abviously against me in his previous post. So u think is a good prospect?or even if I can manage to convince him, he will give me business? Or I depend on this forum for my business?

Let me tell you this.....I am not new to this forum, although not high profile but I am active in this forum way way before I started this trade. And I know very well that the forum is a double edged sword, and it is one of the worst place to solicit for business.

Now, thing is he is throwing me a question which is not related to the title of the thread in the thread....y don't u warn him and tell him to start his own thread instead.....I think logically, this should be the way right?

b) the question is directed at me

So basically from post 633 onwards...my post are mainly answering questions, after that the discussion get more and more off topic, more and more personal attacks at insurance agents which is totally uNecessary and unfounded....now what did you do, and what should a moderator do when a thread gets out of control?

So with at least 3 forumers going off topic, and starting to attack, the most u did is to tell them to stop in the chat....

And because of 1 ambiguous post which you just mentioned that you will give benefit of doubt ....I Kenna official warning.

Yup, got wrong. I give every agent that tries to solicit for pm a official warning. No, you are not singled out or special case.

Mod being in the thread doesn't mean mod read everything in the thread. I read that few post and replied to correct something. Don't assume mod read the whole thread from start to end just to reply someone's post. Mod is as much a member as any other in the forum and can read whatever the mod wish to just like you and everyone else.

If you think they are going off topic too much or shooting personal attacks on you. You can report it, reports are always read by mod. This is what a mod need to read up on if there are issues reported.

Next, asking them to stop is fair, it serves as a warning too. You don't always need to send a official warning to stop this. What level of warning to stop what type of case really depends on how serious it is.

Going off topic is something that happens from time to time, as long as it's not excessive, I can give some leeway. If you find my few post as very off topic and excessive, you may report it as well.

On the other hand, I have already warn you to post in the appropriate forum for your issues you had with your warnings. Give you the links, the channels and the right way to do it but you choose to ignore it.

If you wanna compare the 2, one is right in your face, told you not to do it and you went on to do it anyway, the other one has not even had 1 report on it.

Warnings on not to pm has 0 connection to the thread unless you wanna say Warnings affect endowment plans?

On the other hand, you may think agents or company commitment has nothing to do with buying an endowment plan, I do not think so.
One should know what/whom one is dealing with before signing any plans with the insurance company, including who will handle the endowment plan when an agent quit. How is that irrelevant or so off topic?

One should have the right to know agents possibly won't commit to you for the whole stretch of your policy. Especially the fact that most endowment plans are long term like 10-20 years.

Like I mention in the main thread.....policy holders won't be left in a lurch, even when agents leave...there are many channels.....a) insurance companies send letter to clients giving them contacts of their replacement agent b) replacement agents will make attempts to call the client to request for a meetup (if client did not update contact with insurance companies, or did not pick up the phone...can't blame us right?) c) if all else fail, there is always customer service hotline and customer service counter
