Phison E12 based nvme silent nerf

I got myself an phison E12 recently and apparently they silently nerfed the specification. It is now using E12S and has half the dram which is 512mb.

The performance apparently still the same thus I suspect the lesser dram might result in worse full drive performance. There is no review on it yet, at least I couldn't find any. I am not gonna fill up my drive just to test that either, no time for that.

So if anyone is purchasing any phison e12 drives, do take note of this. Not all drives are like that but apparently, some of the batch is.

As far as I know, there is no way to tell how much DRAM is on the SSD since this is not stated as part of the specs nor shown on the SSD utilities.

Thus, rather hard to do anything about this when buying an SSD.
