Phone recommendation

Hi, i'm planning to change my phone but only have a budget less than $300. Can anyone give me any recommendation?Looking for an all-rounder phone for casual uses only. Thanks for the help!

P/S: I'm not really knowledgeable about the spec and brand etc...

It has to be Redmi Note 3 coming very soon. With Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 onboard. I believe they will unveil during upcoming Mi 6th anniversary festival.

Thanks for the previous poster but I will give in more details since it has been awhile since the last time I bought one. So after doing some throughout research on my own, I've narrowed down to a few phone which I most probably go after.

samsung - j7 or a3
Xiaomi - mi4i or redmi note 3
Oppo-R7 lite
asus - zenFone selfie
LG- G4 beat or LG class

Uses: mainly taking photos and mild gaming

My main criteria ist does not have extreme overheat issue. Current phone always auto shutdown when it does.

I'm having problem to decide which one is the best since most of their spec are almost the same. I've never used any other phone aside from samsung... Thanks in advance for any advice~

Redmi Note 3 will be your best bet among the rest, the SD650 chip pwns all others lol

Xiaomi phone really upz?? I changing phone end-April too, wanted to try iphone but bolui leh. Miss my G3.. battery died few months before I can recontract T.T

Any other phones to recommend around mid-range price with good battery life?
