I am looking at 4 choices for printing photos:
1. Colour laser printer
2. Colour inkjet printer
3. 4R Canon/Sony printer
4. Harvey Norman print job
Right now I have a Samsung mono laser + scanner. I also have some Sony leftover photos paper (4R) - the Sony printer already broke down.
On the long run, I would be printing more of 4R than anything larger but if can print other sizes of coz good. Usually I have very few print job, be it photos or documents. Scanner function is good to have, even though I seldom use.
Other than these, print quality and durability is rather important as well. If can print at home is good because then I don't have to walk 20 mins to Harvey Norman to print during retail hours. But again, I don't print every week. Maybe just once a month.
I am also wondering which one will be most affordable in terms of setup cost, ink, paper etc. Space may be a constraint too. I also heard that inkjet printer must occasionally print once a week so that the head won't get clogged. This may be troublesome and waste ink.
