how can we label a new person name, then get the phone to search all photos matching this person?

2. i realised i have a few photos with numbers bearing eg, 1234, but when i search in photo app, that particular photo do not come out in my search results

For your iPhone to be able to identify faces go your photo app > albums tab > give a name to the faces. I suggest assigning a contact from your contact book to a face.

For your iPhone to be able to search for images (Live Text). It needs to have an A12 Bionic chip and above.

Both of the above feature requires your iPhone to be plugged into a power source overnight and in sleep mode (eg not in use) for the indexing to take place.

Does it do indexing during charging ?

I don’t know. Additionally low power mode needs to be off.
