1) Any good and cheap hotels that are guest friendly and near to night spots?
2) What are the popular night spots for cheongsters?
3) What are the popular shopping malls or night markets worth to visit?

you can try Minotel. Quite convenient and definitely guest friendly.

Everything in Phuket is more expensive than Pattaya.

Girls, lady drinks, food, transport and more..

You can stay at C&N hotel in Phuket if you need a guest friendly hotel.

Phuket is spoiled by angmoh. Everything also very expensive. Even I try not to shop in Phuket. Bangkok is so much cheaper than Phuket.

But now low season, so accommodations and car rental is cheaper. Whatever it is, don't use their taxis if you know how to drive.

yes, the taxi charge by area basis... fix price. no meter.

rent car better, i just came back from phuket. rented a car from AVIS only cost me 4800+ baht for 5.5 days...

if u take taxi, u can easily spend alot (min 600 baht just one way from one area to another short distance) if u want to explore phuket inside out...
