My mother's friend who is an elderly woman told us that inside the polling station, a polling agent approached her and told her to just put a tick beside the party logo that appeared at the top of the ballot. Downright dirty tricks they play!

That is a presiding officer. Not polling agent. Polling agent not allowed to leave their seats or even talk to voters. Presiding officers are civil servants.
