Place to Replace MSI Laptop Screen

Hi, I'm posting here to ask a question as the title implies. I have sent my MSI laptop to the manufacturer for repairs, but due to certain reasons, my warranty does not cover the replacement, thus I need to pay hundreds of dollars to get the screen replaced.

I am currently seeking cheaper alternatives in the form of PC repair shops around Singapore, so I would like to ask:

1) Is it more advisable to pay the manufacturer to repair the laptop? The laptop is only 2 years old, and it's still running perfectly fine.

2) Are there any recommendations as to where to get the repairs done? Especially one that has warranty in case the repair fails?

Just to let you guys know about the fault. The laptop screen is not cracked, but if the laptop is moved around or the hardware heats up, the screen will freeze and fade leaving lines visible on it. I have already received confirmation that it's the screen that's the problem.

Unfortunately the warranty can't cover my screen, like I said. But what's SLS?

EDIT: I realize that SLS is Sim Lim Square.

It is best to visit MSI service centre first.
Just in case it is due to manufacturer defect.
For this the repair is free even out of warranty.
Any known defect the manufacturer will have to fix it right for free.
Some defect do not make known as the service centre are the only one know thru technical reports.

At the same time if not defect then you may know the max cost of repair as estimate before repair.
Some charge a small fee for check n estimate but will absorb if repair is done.

Based on the fact yours is consider quite new as 2 years.
Screen defect sometimes do occurred.

Warranty matters was my main job.
Bought a very old type of camera with defect, cheap.
Sent to manufacturer service centre and repaired was free which i was not aware.

I already said that the warranty is unable to cover the replacement costs. But you are right, they provided the high end of the repair cost. I'll try to figure out if SLS can provide the solution I was looking for.

An alternative would be to connect the laptop to an external monitor and desk bound it i.e to say don't replace the monitor.

There are panels and guides online to help you self replace (cheaper definitely) if you are techy enough :)

What's your model?

Saw a repair guide on one, those should be easy to fix. Just be very careful on the main body frame connecting the screen hinge to the main body.
It’s made of plastic!

I did find the related video. But now the issue is how to get the screen at all, because I no longer trust eBay since most of their parts come from US or China.

Exactly these countries.
Hmm what are your concerns on them? From these countries
You can try more sketchy ones such as Aliexpress.

Hmm, though of another location,
you can try parts retailers at SLS. Along the inner side of SLS... levels 2,3

(They solely self laptop parts)

More like a screen replacement I got before ended up being broken.
