Invest in a super high end noise cancelling headset will do the job...
What will be your recommendation currently I feel that my workplace is a bit too noisy as well. However I don't want a headphone that is too hot on my ear as well.

If you just need to block out external sound, can consider etymotic, base models start below $100. Note: this is not anc, personally think this is better, but you have to get used to it

Anyone has recommendations for places to work remotely from? My office is a little far from where I stay (about 1 hour), and my house is a little noisy with babies and other family members around.

For my job function, I do need to be making calls and be in virtual meetings at least half the time, so I don't think cafes or libraries will work for me.

Utown outside dun need at above Starbuck, but no aircon, if aircon mean foodcourt

Usually I find best quiet place so far without pass is NUS-ISS , core of excellent, central library not bad, but need pass.
School of Computing sometime student discuss outside lecture hall will be noisy.

I only explored utown, central library , soc and nus-iss. There might other will be better like information system or techno building top floor, also nearby central library got those middle east or south asia school related might have some good spot.

Also the nus botanical garden the nus law there also have some aircon study area, maybe also a good spot
