Sorry, still do not understand what you mean "need to check if bios is needed". Every pc has bios. lol.

Do you mean check bios version?

Currently i am on bios 0x114 and no issue with running benchmark. 0x112 which is the earliest bios does have issue running 3dmark.

When window restart, it will prompt me too. If there is update, it will prompt me too.

have you consider ram for other cores?

I play those like wukong...apex legends and cyberpunk
Still using a msi 1440p 27inch
in that case, 7800x3d will sufficent. However, newer games are on the raytracing side of things, which is not multi thread but perform the same as multithreads

Both B650 and X870 are fine. Buy motherboard better check the block diagram. Got so many I/O and slots but all only 4x bus to CPU from chipset, what is the point? Buy what you need and able to use, generally new tech move really fast. Mobo with lots of I/O does not mean all can run native speed, bottleneck still on the pcie bus if it goes through the chipset.

Getting 9800x3d with MSI b650 tomahawk
Trident z5 6000 32 gb
990 pro 1tb
Can do ?

if you want value for money, check out aliexpress from choice seller with lots of reviews. i suspect sls get from aliexpress also thats why tray CPU. if you want boxed with official warranty then amazon. If you want value for money, 7800x3d is sufficient.

Don't get intel because it has 3 different cores. normal, weak, eco. ryzen all cores are normal for now. That's why games perform better with ryzen.

nowadays ram cheap. check out amazon for good prices.

I'm curious which Intel chip has 3 type of cores, what is a weak core?

latest laptop range.
Intel’s Meteor Lake processors introduce a multi-tile (chiplet-based) architecture that enhances flexibility and power efficiency. One of the standout design features is the inclusion of three types of CPU cores, each optimized for different workloads and power levels. Here's how they break down:

1. Performance Cores (P-Cores)

  • Location: Compute Tile
  • Purpose: High-performance tasks, such as gaming, content creation, and heavy multitasking
  • Architecture: Based on Intel’s Redwood Cove core design
  • Characteristics:
    • High clock speeds
    • Wide execution pipelines
    • Ideal for bursty, single-threaded workloads or demanding applications

2. Efficient Cores (E-Cores)

  • Location: Compute Tile
  • Purpose: Power-efficient multitasking and background workloads
  • Architecture: Based on Crestmont design
  • Characteristics:
    • Smaller, simpler cores
    • Optimized for multi-threaded performance per watt
    • Great for scaling performance while keeping power usage low

3. Low Power Efficient Cores (LP E-Cores)

  • Location: SOC Tile (System-on-Chip Tile)
  • Purpose: Ultra-low-power background tasks and always-on scenarios (e.g., notifications, sensors, system maintenance)
  • Architecture: Also based on Crestmont, but highly optimized for idle and near-idle power states
  • Characteristics:
    • Lower voltage and frequency operation
    • Runs independently of the Compute Tile
    • Enables rapid wake-up and background activity without waking the main cores

1. and 2. are what we commonly know. (many are saying useless cores)
However for Huawei one of the software - AI recognitions. Hence, is supposed to push space or size to the 3. efficency core since it take calculations for AI and its algortherim

Sidenote
With ARMS cpu and ultra series (not a fanboy but still chosing g14 8945hs as next laptop), There is little to no lag for what is inbuilt AI. Even so, i will wait for MSFT

TS is considering a 265K, only has P and E cores.

TS is not getting a laptop cpu with P/E/LP core. For what?

TS already got a 9800X3D.
