Oak Valley, Vivaldi, elysian, all 3 able to book via Klook.

Any experience of any of these ski resorts? Planning to go in early Dec 2024

Main intent is to let kids do sledding.

Seems like Oak Valley is more suitable for kids according to google. but i had a hard time trying to find accommodation in Oak Valley. Not sure whether unable to book? or full?

most SG dun want to meet another SG in JP, so that goes that same for KR

serious KR should get their website translated to English. even if they dun want translation at least design website that google translate can handle. many website can only be translated partially by Google.

make more information available in other language

also their booking system often dun work.

of coz u guys that luv to go KR should try help to promote more

Yes, this Korea thread is 1/2 dead. Do let us know which one you decided, how you get there and quality of ski resort.

Eventually settled on Klook: Elysian Ski Day tour. One group skiing, another group just bus transfer there and pray that the sledding place is open.

Initially wanted Vivaldi, some tour agencies mentioned Vivaldi usually opens later, but i'm going there early Dec, so settled on Elysian

Offical websites below, mainly to check on status of slopes.

Elysian: https://gs.elysian.co.kr/global/eng/gangchon/ski/slope_map.asp

How about Jisan Ski Resort? Vs Elysian Below cut & paste from klooks
3. Jisan Ski Resort
korea winter spots jisan ski resort 1
Located just 40min away from Seoul, Jisan Ski Resort is the perfect getaway for those looking for a quick escape from the city to spend the day shredding down some slopes!
korea winter spots jisan ski resort 2
For beginners, the includes a 1hr lesson for those who have no experience on the slopes. You won’t even have to bring along your own equipment as everything is provided. You can pick from skiing, snowboarding and even sledding.

4 Dec.
Can book elysian Gangchon resort by trip.com. Wanted to complement with klook ski packages, but the packages normally either include the resort, or just a 1 day trip.

So went to find other private tours that can bring me back and forth. But too ex. Eventually gave up and just going for the 1 day trip.

If you are a seasoned traveller and travelling without small kids or elderly. I think just taking their bus and figuring out the skiing process should be fine.

Not on klook/trip/kkday. So I skipped. Maybe other bro/sis have more experience in Korea that can help.

Some advice:
I tried to change 50,000won or buy coffee with 50,000won. Nobody in the station had change. So eventually I had to top up the Tmoney card using 40,000won (min if using 50,000 top up machines) then the 2nd card is 10,000won. Well, the card can be used to pay for items in convenience stores so no issue with that.

Nobody does take-out udon (cos kid sick) so had to resort to food delivery to have a nice udon delivered.

Olive yong is everywhere. So don't need to go to the main store in Myeongdong. The experience is so bad.

There is a kyoja in Myeongdong, (selling only 3-4dishes) with raving reviews insta etc. But it was just ban mian with lots of msg. And squeezing with the crowd in restaurents.

Pharmacies are quite common and some of them speak English and very helpful.

The google translator on my Samsung (holding the home button) is a life saver. On/off there are emergency messages of missing old man, or strikes at railway etc that I use to translate. Similar the food delivery app also use the home button...

If you have 4 pax or more. It's easier to travel by klook airport transfer instead of the 6018 bus.
