Tiagong Nintendo's has sound emulation accuracy problems...

While PSClassic at least uses tried-and-tested open source...

This is untrue, Nintendo have good emulation as seem by dgitial foundry and other sites while Sony have a lot of emulation issues becuase they use a old version of the open source emulator and they did not optimize it for the pa classic.

There is a reason why it's selling for 36.99 in US and EU now,the emulation and game selection is shitty until hacked.

This kind of thing is no secret; backward compatibility is usually based on emulators already made by others

The reason to get these kind of consoles is for the legal games.

Nintendo did make an effort to ensure that their game are achieved. Not sure about Sony since they just dump slower PAL games on Ntsc PS classic when they should use the NTSC isos.

PS1 games can be bought cheaply at the PSN store and with one purchase the game can be downloaded and played on the PS3, PSP and PSVita.

In my opinion, sony shouldn't have produced and sold this. There are too many great games on PS1 and I don't think they can squeeze everything in and if too many are left out, will make it look bad also. Or perhaps they could split it up into batches - mini 1, 2 and 3, provided no licensing issue. But then it's over already.
