Can the mod/admin @Dr.Vijay explain whats the offence exactly? i didn't use any term which might be offensive like "****" in my post. As far as i can recall, all my post mentioned was while schooling has been eating snake for 3 out of 5 years and shamed the country, Neeraj has been training hard and got a gold... something along those lines


i did mention schooling embarrassed the country but that is hardly trolling given that he finished dead last in his heats. In my view anyone that finishes last embarrassed his country. Whichever mod decided to infract might be a die hard Schooling fan and might think he was outstanding and thats perfectly fine but that doesn't mean he/she infracts anyone else who has a view that is different from his/hers. If i want to compliment a person of another nationality, that is also within my prerogative.

The forum congratulates Neeraj for his accomplishments in the olympics. He has certainly made his country proud.

However, to be pedantic (and the reason for your infraction) — he’s not our national hero. Your thread title was regarded as sensationalist, intended to rile up forum sentiments and cause trouble.

I want to call someone else a national hero is my own issue. If you dun agree with it, so be it. Is this a primary school here? Anyone who doesn’t think the same way as you gets points issued?

Interesting that the adjective you have used in your title is “our” instead of “a” or “my”. The title itself reads and implies that either the latter mentioned Olympian is Singaporean, which he is not, or that your were insinuating that we, collectively as a nation, are part of another country.

Noting forum sentiments (Anti-**** / Cecapore..) you were regarded as trying to further rile up the forum population and cause trouble with your thread title.

As such, you were given a warning.

You are free to hold the opinion on who is your national champion and dismiss the efforts of our Singaporean athletes.

It's interesting you use this line. Who are you to decide this? I'm a die hard Schooling fan. But let others have their own degree of support or opposition.
