Dear Experts

kindly advise what is wrong with my cpu and what should i do

intel i5 2400 3.3ghz
8gb ram
64bit
nvidia geforce gtx 560ti

recently i have been encountering the following issues, but i have no clue what is causing it

1) monitor not able to sync with cpu, i have to plug out and in the hdmi cable and off and on the pc, the pc loads to the windows screen because can hear the music but the monitor not able to sync

2) after playing dota2 quite frequent recently, it suddenly freezes, i can ctrl alt del but i cant go back to the game, have to close and open

3) when playing dota2 and opening too many windows, the com hangs and froze

4) blue screen of death only happened once, after that no more

but point 1, 2, 3 is practically happening everyday =( have tried to reinstall dota2, tried to reinstall graphic driver, tried to buy a new hdmi connecter (the current one i using seems very loose, when i insert into cpu, no friction)

Please help diagnose what device/software could be causing all this so at least i know what to buy or what to tell the shops on which item to replace/repair.

Look forward for any experts advise.

Regards
Ray

try use a hdd software and see any bad sector on your hdd.

Have you tried DVI cable instead?

My HD TV on and off also refuse to syn with my starhub box, after I use the component cable the problem was resolved.

Graphics card overheat? try running benchmarks like 3dmark or occt to check.

cheap way to fix: open casing cover and point desk fan into casing :p

you can use HD Tune Free Download - HDD Managers

or if you are using seagate or samsung harddisk, you can go to the seagate support website and download the hard disk software. The good thing about that software from seagate is once it detect a problem in your hard disk, you can check whether it is under warranty and give you the instruction to do a RMA.

I doubt you will be able to notice any major difference on graphic when using HDMI or DVI. Just that DVI lack of a digital audio which you do not need it as your monitor do not have a speaker.
