Please recommend a new budget PC

Hello ppl,

my gf's computer motherboard died.. old e8400 processor / mobo

gonna savage the following

seasonic 550w psu - 2 yrs old
WD black 1tb hdd - 2yrs old
DVD RW - 3yrs old
msi 460gtx cyclone - 4yrs old

i dont think can use the ddr2 rams in todays system right?

with a budget of $500

can recommend a AMD / intel budget processor (i3-4130?)
mobo with at least 3 or 5 yrs warranty h81 or h87?
8 gb of ram
and a nice small casing? like those HTPC but can fit the savage components?

i am okay to buy from amazon / newegg too

The PSU most likely got to go if it was used since the first time you build the rig.

ah bro, psu was replaced halfway... should be less than 2 yrs old

purpose normal surf net and a bit of light games..not hardcore gamer

just bought my AMD A10 6790k with Asus A88XM-A mobo at PC theme for $289... plus 8gb ram around $106 ... total $395..

$100 should be able to get a decent nice little budget casing

stock cooler is good enough and quiet, no additional cost for cooler, unless you wana overclock or stress the hell out of it

bro not sure how old your PSU is but judging from the rest of the parts of the pc should be quite old ba... so not recommended to reuse. Yes DDR2 rams are not usable in new mobos. If you are looking at small casing, and just using it as HTPC maybe can get a Brix from gigabyte. Can upgrade DDR3 ram up to 16 gb yourself. here some info on it and btw MNC selling at $486:

hmmm lols my old acer pc of almost 13 years still going strong only just recently the on button on the case spoil

oh but the old stuff like wasted leh...

prefer to reuse

hahahaha why not you decide on the case first like how small you want it to be then we decide the parts from there. Can go mynextcom there browse their cases lo. but if i were you i will choose mini itx cases such as prodigy cause i love the design, 250d cause can house long gpu (but don't think you will be needing it ba so maybe you can skip) or CM elite 130 small and compact just nice on top can use to put my lucky pillow (don't ask me why i got that)

ah bro thanks for advice but actually lazy to go sell.. so just wanna reuse all..

casing can be matx also can.. as long as can fit in all the savage stuff and as small as possible, we are happy liao
