Please recommend mini tower/matx build for me

Looking to set up a brand new mini tower/matx including monitor

been contemplating between this or a laptop but i think price to specs wise i can get a better system with the same budget right?

Main purpose is for entertainment like watching HD videos and online streaming videos

little or no gaming

SSD is a must

budget about 1k to 1.1k (can go higher if required)

Watch HD Movies with no gaming or little gaming? I dont think you need to go till 1.1k. A pentium/i3 can do just fine.

Bro, spending more does not mean future proof. In a hardware community, spending more does not equate to better quality or future proof.

Gone are the days that we are lagging on just CPU + HDD combo. We are pushing the CPU to do most of the job. Now we have an SSD. This is what contributes the most to the overall responsiveness of the PC. Not just responsive, fast in boot up and fast in shutting down.

A general rule if budget permits

Celeron or Pentium ~ Main uses for just words documents, presentations and web surfing, also meant to be use as a Home theatre PC.

i3 ~ With dual core and hyperthreading it is meant for light productivity and also some will use it for Home Theatre and light gaming.

i5 ~ Most mainstream users such as gamers will land to an i5 region. It is the same as an i7 quad core, with no Hyper threading and lesser cache memory.

i7 ~ For people whom make use of hyper threading, such as Photoshops, graphics renderers, movie/clip rendering, and other Engineering applications. Else there is no performance difference in terms of gaming with an i5.

Siao. If duwan lag, get an SSD (OS) + WD Purple/SE/RE (storage).
